SHIRLEY GUGGEMOS

If you ever had the pleasure of meeting Shirley you know what a true lady she was. Married to George “ Bill Guggemos” For about 60 years, Shirley enjoyed their many adventures. After their family was raised and gone they started collecting pedal cars. They attended The Southeastern pedal car show for many many years and the Kalamazoo show in Michigan. It was always a joy to sit and visit with her and her “ Googie”.

It never mattered if you were a new collector or an old hand at the hobby Shirley loved to chat with each and every one of us. Age also never entered into the equation. Shirley at age 80 was more active and vibrant than any 30 year old. If there was a woman that could fit into any conversation, activity, or age group it was Shirley.

I was lucky enough to call this lady a friend. I will miss her with all of my heart. I guess what I am really trying to say is that I can only hope to be half the lady she was.

To our Googie. Please know that we in the pedal car hobby will always be there for you.
