In Honor of our Sons

Hi there. I'm up here in Newfoundland Canada and just found your site and I must say it's a very informative web site. Anyway I'm writing you with my story of the pedal Jeep & Pedal Boat I restored for my sons.

I have two sons. One in the Army and the other in the Navy. I wanted to do a project for them both: I did the Tri-ang jeep for my 24 year old son (Dennis) that's in the Canadian Armed Forces, and I just completed the 1966 Murray pedal boat for my 20 year old son (Daniel)that's in the Canadian Navy and is sailing around Germany as I type this email. He is stationed on the HMCS Halifax and that is what I named the little pedal boat after.

Features of the Jeep: Custom graphics, picture of my son on the steering wheel, License plate gives date of birth along with rank. Medic badge and lots of other items.

         

Features of the Boat: Custom graphics, motor, etc.

 

I hand made the trailer for it as well to attach to the jeep and it's been a big hit so far.
