Here's a question for those who do their own metal finishing, or dent removal. When was the last time that you checked your Backup Dollies for Square or Flatness?
It is hard to straighten a dent if your Dolly is concave or the surface is uneven. You wouldn't believe how many professional restorers that I have asked this question to only to get the answer "I can't remember or I have never checked them".
Even if your dollies are brand new they need to be checked. All you need is a simple square to check them. And if you have a belt grinder you can square them yourself. Remember that when you work with good tools it always make the job much easier and faster.
